Born in Vietnam, she came to Israel with her family as a refugee. As many boatpeople, she came to Israel in 1977 by a decision by former Prime Minister Menahem Begin.
Lee Cho O is now more Israeli than other Israelis. She is a Major in the army.

400 new immigrants from the USA come to Israel.
This is the largest amount of U.S. olim ever to arrive on one plane. The group was subsidized by the now-famous Nefesh B'Nefesh organization, with the help of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, the Jewish Agency, the Israeli Government, AACI (Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel), and Tehilla.
The group is comprised mostly of young families and 75% of them have decided to live in Jerusalem or in Ramat Beit Shemesh.
IsraTV was there to find out what was their first impression.

25 Juillet 2005 : 330 Juifs de France font leur Alyah

Témoignage exclusif de Déborah, 12 ans - rescapée d'un attentat.
La petite Déborah était dans l'autobus qui a explosé le 18 Juin dernier à Jérusalem. Elle a vu le terroriste monter et a voulu prévenir le chauffeur. Elle n'a pas eu le temps de se lever que tout a explosé. Il y a eu 19 morts et plus de 40 blessés dans cet attentat. Déborah a survécu par miracle. Elle a accepté de répondre à nos questions le lendemain du drame. (3mn)
